Metal Braces
Traditional metal braces are the most common type of braces used today. They are smaller and more comfortable than ever before and constructed of high-grade space age metal alloys. We use the most advanced low-friction, efficient clip-style braces. With metal braces, you have the option of adding colored elastic ties (donuts) to hold your wires in, for a more unique and colorful smile!
Ceramic Braces
Ceramic braces are made of clear materials and are therefore less visible on your teeth than metal braces. For this reason, ceramic braces are used mainly on teenage and adult patients who have aesthetic concerns. While they are visually less prominent, they do require more attention to oral hygiene since ceramic braces are larger than metal braces. The only drawback to ceramic brackets is that they are more fragile and the elastic ties can discolor between orthodontic visits with certain foods and with smoking.

Dr. McCoy uses SureSmile Custom Wires to quickly and comfortably guide your teeth into their final positions.
Early in your braces treatment, we scan your teeth and braces with our iTero scanner and then Dr. McCoy custom-designs how he wants your teeth to move and from that design, SureSmile Custom Wires are fabricated. Once we receive your SureSmile Custom Wires, we place them in your braces and your teeth are on their way to their final positions, more quickly and more comfortably than any other manner!
